Hounds of Horror

Ari Aster has become a horror giant in recent years. The Hounds discuss his debut movie, Hereditary. Does it hold up to the ratings of Midsommar? Listen and find out. 

In 1982 John Carpenter created a remake of the 1951 movie The Thing. This movie is a horror fan favorite and has remained a favorite for decades. Max, Vic, and Kitty take on the theatrical giant and discuss it at length in this weeks episode of The Hounds of Horror. 

This topical movie takes place amidst a global pandemic. Though that's not what the movie is really about. A park ranger and a scientist enter the woods in search of the scientist's mentor. While on their search the encounter Zach. A hermit who has been squatting in the woods for some time in a make shift camp composed of tarps and tents. The pair soon find that Zach is not who he seems, and find themselves at odds with the eccentric man. 

Kitty hits the group with another classic horror film. The Blair Witch Project jumpstarted a whole genre of found footage films (Max's least favorite horror genre), but does this "original" concept hold up to the test of time? 

A comedic twist on the zombie apocalypse, join the Hounds as they discuss this "horror" film starring Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. 

It's a favorite for Vic and Max, but will it hold up for Kitty?

What would happen if scientists "infected" monkeys with rage and then a team of PETA members did a dumb and let the free? Well the zombie apocalypse of course. 

Max is already infected with rage, so I don't know how much water that theory holds, but the hounds will discuss it in this weeks episode.

The Hounds tackle this 1996 slasher classic starring Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, David Arquette, Matthew Lillard, and Skeet Ulrich.

While slashers are not a favorite of the Hounds, this movie is a fun watch and a must see for almost any horror fan, but what horror rating will the group give this one? listen and find out

Captain Kronos is a vampire hunter, and he's been called by and old friend to come investigate the murders of several young women in his town. He and his assistant work to solve the mystery of who is sucking the life essence from these women. 

Americans Julie and Jim are on an adventure in Thailand when they encounter Robert and Billy, two British men who take them out for a night on the town. After drinks and partying, Robert and Billy convince Julie to go with them to see some spirit houses they found in the woods.

Jim gets in contact with their taxi driver, Gogo who comes to pick them up. When Jim explains what happened, Gogo takes the couple to his village for some spiritual healing. When that doesn't work, the three of them embark on a journey to save Julie. 

Tom Riley buys a home at a sheriff's sale to flip for a profit. When he enters the home he finds that all of the belongings from the previous owner are still there, as if they left in a hurry. He also finds that there is a camera system in the house. Which is lucky for him since someone or something keeps moving his stuff around. 

After several nights of being tormented by a being in the house, Tom comes face to face with BAD BEN
